Founded in 2015, TransPod is the Canadian-based startup that is building the world’s leading hyperloop system to disrupt and redefine commercial transportation. We’re re-imagining the way we live and work, and we’re bringing the hyperloop to life to virtually shrink distances and connect people, cities, and businesses.
This brief outlines details about TransPod's expertise, key differentiators, funding, technology and more.Download brief (.pdf)
This Initial Order of Magnitude analysis indicates that building a TransPod hyperloop system in Southwestern Ontario, between the cities of Toronto and Windsor, will cost half the projected cost of a high-speed rail line along the same route, while travelling four times faster than the top speed of HSR.Download brief (.pdf)
L'analyse démontre qu’un système de type hyperloop coûtera 30 pour cent moins chère que le coût d’une ligne à grande vitesse tout en voyageant trois fois plus vite.Download brief (.pdf)
Sebastien founded TransPod in 2015 and brings more than 13 years of experience leading engineers at global transportation manufacturers, including Bombardier, Safran S.A., and Airbus Group. He holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO and Aix Marseille University in France.
Ryan Janzen is the inventor of the TransPod system. His strategy was to create a new generation of tube transportation or hyperloop, with key new innovations to make ultra-high-speed transportation work. Janzen has been featured on the Discovery Channel, Wired magazine, and Through the Wormhole, and is featured in 110+ scientific publications, media interviews, and international lectures.
